Originally slated to land in January of next year, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has been hit with a 3 month delay to allow for additional polish.
Though game developers rarely release such detail into their decisions to delay a game already closing in on its old release date, CI Games are being rather open with the announcement citing fan and press feedback at numerous consumer events as the reason for the sudden change of heart.
Being the biggest project the studio has ever worked on, CEO of CI Games, Marek Tyminski said "We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans,". They're adamant with their goal to "Redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole,"
If you're not caught up already, there's a trailer straight from its last appearance at TwitchCon that wraps up just how vast a title Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 really is for the company - even going as far as being used to demonstrate the title's vista viewpoints.
You'll have to wait until April 4, 2017 to mess up a headshot now.
