According to VG 24/7 the For Honor closed alpha, which finished on September 18th, saw hundreds of thousands of players taking part in the blood thirsty festivities. Each player spent over 4 hours engaged in battle. This resulted in 5.8 million executions and 89.6 million fallen warriors. And the interest in participating in the beta is reported ad being 40% higher than any other pre-launch title made available for testing.
Ubisoft is quoted as saying: “During the closed alpha, For Honor was at one point the second-most watched title on Twitch.tv, temporarily besting stalwarts such as World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike and Dota 2.” For Honor also managed to snag a top ten spot on Twitch.tv during most of the days that the closed alpha was available.
With the Beta sign ups available and articles focused on the interesting aspects of For Honor such as the “awesome” Ladyvikings mentioned by Rock Paper Shotgun as well as the word of mouth from those that played the closed alpha, the beta is sure to be large in size and scope as well.
For Honor is due for release February 14th. It’s already available for pre-order with three different editions. The standard edition will receive a “Legacy Battle Pack” which will include hero outfits for the Warden, Raider and the Kensei.
