As we prepare to enter the bloodiest battlefields ever offered in a Warriors title with Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, Omega Force is coming fast with new details on what the game will have on offer. In the latest bit of information, a new game mode was announced and the major series antagonist, Femto, was revealed as a playable character.
This information was offered up recently to Famitsu and translated via Gematsu alongside screens of the dastardly villain in action. Alongside the announcement of Femto, publisher Koei Tecmo revealed a few new features for the game. A character progression element was revealed alongside new modes Infinite Eclipse and Behelit’s Collection, though nothing concrete has been posted on these modes just yet.
For those not in the know, Femto is essentially the biggest bad guy of the entire Berserk series. After a rather gruesome and treacherous turn of events, Guts’ former ally Griffith is transformed into this massively powerful god-like entity. Femto is at the center of much of the Berserk anime and manga’s conflict following his arrival. As a playable character, he’ll undoubtedly have some reality-bending and devastating attacks, as befits his animated and manga counterpart.
Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is slated for release on 21 February, 2017 in North America and 24 February, 2017 in Europe on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
