Keen-eyed NeoGAF user Jawmucher noticed late last night that the Steam Store page for Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil 7 has already received a system requirements list months ahead of release.
While the RAM minimum seems to match the recommended spec, it should be noted that these listings are always subject to change before the game's release - and with that still being months away, it's best nobody gets around to building a new rig just yet.
MINIMUM:
OS: WINDOWS 7,8,8.1,10 64-BIT
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x
DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 30FPS Players will have to either lower texture or set streaming textures to OFF in order to optimize performance. *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change.

RECOMMENDED:
OS: WINDOWS 7,8,8.1,10 64-BIT
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X or better
DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: "1080P CPU/GPU at 60FPS *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change."
For the most part, the requirements are fairly relaxed with the aging GTX 760 or Radeon R7 260x as a minimum requirement. Though the mention of Windows 7 still being very much supported likely means we're not looking at any elaborate DX12 implementation here. This isn't going to be one for your benchmarking charts!
Could this early listing point toward an inpending demo release? While we were ensured the spooky, Silent Hills-esque demo wasn't a representation of the final game, it's still a build that's been available on the PlayStation 4 for a number of months.
Whether we'll see VR support like the PS4 has is still up in the air.
