Originally scheduled for a March 2017 release, we now won't see Yasuhiro Wada's new IP until May. At least he kept with similar sounding months.
No specific reason has been given when it comes to the delay of Birthdays the Beginning, but the news does arrive with plenty of time. And while the title didn't have a solid day in mind when it came to its former March 2017 placeholder, they're now being a little more specific by announcing a date of May 9 2017 for the creation sandbox.
Coming from the creator of Harvest Moon, you can expect Birthdays the Beginning to be a game of creativity. A life simulator in a completely different form. While the name might seem odd at first, it actually falls right into place when you learn of the game's aim of building a world and its lifeforms.
Are you ready for a miracle? The Steam Winter Sale starts later today!
Following the recent industry-wide usage of cubic worlds, players mold, carve and shape these worlds as they see fit. Altering their terrain, geography and more specific aspects like temperature to birth organisms that could become anything from plants to dinosaurs.
Once the game does launch, however, you'll be able to hear it in at least 5 different languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. No word on whether it can birth you a new understanding of all these languages, however.
