It hasn't even been a week since Planet Coaster released to the public, but Frontier Games are already planning a 'Christmas present' update - but they want votes to determine what we'll get.
When it comes to actual rollercoasters, Planet Coaster admittedly lacks a large amount of pre-built rides; but there's more than enough ground-based flat rides to throw around your park. Though you can easily rectify the first issue with your own creations, it's down to Frontier to continue dishing out the additional, less intense, thrills.
Just getting started in Planet Coaster? We have our 'Essential Guide' to help you rake in the cash!
They're not announcing a solid release date for the addition just yet, but they're taking community votes to help choose which ride will make it into the game next month. The choices are as follows;
- Classic Ferris Wheel - a theme park trademark, standing 30m tall and holding 20 gondolas.
- Sizzer - Spinning, suspended grasscutter ride that whips you in every direction!
- Trihorse - A three-armed, rotating, swinging, and suspended vintage ride, raising its arms up to an angle of 40 degrees.
- Collider - Retro sci-fi ride with 20 swinging gondolas on a horizontal Ferris Wheel that rises to an angle of 87 degrees.
While we'll only be getting the single, popular-choice flat ride, it won't be the only addition coming in the Christmas present update. Frontier aren't yet ready to share the details, but they're aiming to issue the update and an 'Early Christmas present' - so it shouldn't be too far away.
