In another string of Valve-inclusive news, production has wrapped up on their 'True Sight' eSports documentary with all 3 episodes now available.
Clocking in at around 150 minutes - or the length of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice - this 3-part series documents a number of big-name eSports teams as they try to prove their worth in Valve's massive battle arena title 'DotA 2'.
Available to those with a £6.49 access to the "Fall 2016 Battle Pass", the staggered release of the series has taken place over the last 3 months of the year. The full collection of episodes can be streamed right from Steam's build-in media player by those in current possession of the Battle Pass or for anyone deciding to pick up it before the inevitable Winter pass. What'll happen after is anyone's guess.
DotA didn't make the top cut when it came to making PC gaming the second biggest market of 2016.
It's a recommended watch for anyone interested in either DotA 2 or the eSports scene as a whole. With similar MOBA titles regularly taking the top spot of Twitch's featured stream homepage sections, it's a rare chance to see how the composed and focused teams of the major competitions function in the run-up to another deciding factor of their career.
Will Valve follow up the series with a sequel? We'd say it's pretty likely. The platform is becoming a well-rounded place when it comes to worthwhile videogame documentaries lately.
