There's always a lot going on at Gearbox Softworks. Whether its media drama, praise or speculation, the spotlight is seemingly never off Randy Pitchford and his team. So with him dropping a little hint of things to come, the media is rightfully on his case with the healthy dose of speculation.
Taking to Twitter after receiving hate mate from a player complaining about a game his team has nothing to do with, a well-versed reply was met with a response from Pitchford himself announcing plans to reveal "something you might really enjoy" on December 1.
Seemingly struggling to keep the excitement contained, Pitchford reiterated the reveal date in further tweets when pressed for more information. It's only around a week away, but with so much on his plate, there's too much for us to consider when it comes to making an educated guess as to what might be coming.
While Battleborn may not be doing so well in the charts, its current playerbase is hoping to keep it alive.
Some are expecting news of Battleborn going free-to-play while others are eagerly anticipating the official announcement of a new entry in the Borderlands franchise. Though with the team allegedly barely having started work on a potential continuation, the strongest bet is that of the mysterious Bulletstorm Remaster. The existence of the update has leaked more than once, so it seems about right to finally expect something concrete.
There's little chance of another leak so close to an official announcement now, but who knows; maybe he'll a crucial hint slip out if enough people keep pushing him.
