For those who believe E3 is no longer the event it was during its heyday before its disastrous “E for All” experiment, Electronic Arts has given them some damning evidence. The publisher will not be on the E3 floor this coming June, and will instead be hosting a 3 day live event open to the public nearby from June 12-14.
Dubbed “EA Play”, gamers will be able to ”experience hands-on game demos, live events, competition, special guest appearances, exclusive memorabilia and more” at Club Nokia at LA Live. The venue is a few blocks north of the LA Convention Center where E3’s show floor resides.
UK residents will also get a taste of EA’s E3 offerings, as there will be a one day public event at The Mermaid in London as well on June 12. Both the LA and London events will be live streamed.
