When you have over 3 decades of story and play under your belt, you're likely to have saturated various forms of media enough to constantly be in the spotlight. With the recent news of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide getting a new spot of DLC, it's time for Total War: Warhammer to follow suite.
Creative Assembly's upcoming expansion is considered the "Biggest DLC to date" for their massively successful strategy title. The Realm of the Wood Elves expansion set is coming in less than two weeks, and there's obviously a lot of ground to cover. We've heard of the impending Wood Elves inclusion, but now we're learning of the Athel Loren's Elder.
Durthu will take his place as the game's latest 'Legendary Lord' - and he'll bring an array of powers slowly being teased by the developers. The poor soul has succumbed to the 'abiding madness' ditching his noble healing efforts to lift a blade and wreck whatever he can find - he'll protect the glade with everything he's got, whether you're there for a visit or just lost out in the fields.
Creative Assembly has a wide scope in mind when it comes to Total War: Warhammer. With high sales, it's becoming its own series.
Packing 6 unique abilities, Durthu will be able to buff the melee attack power of nearby allies while even summoning Manticores in the heat of the moment to bolster an advancing force; he'll even be able to buff the strength of entire factions before laying waste to his enemies with a swift explosion of energy.
Arriving on December 8, there's likely a lot more information to come in the run-up to release. You can read more about the additions through our original announcement article, but for now, we're a little in the dark.
