This time around we’re playing Blood & Wine, the latest and final expansion for CD Projekt’s excellent fantasy RPG, the Witcher 3. The post-story expansion shows Geralt of Rivia travelling to the French-inspired wine country of Toussaint, and dealing with a vampiric menace that threatens to get way out of hand.
Our review of Bood & Wine went live last week, and we gave it glowing praise. With the developers now focusing their talents on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, this may be the last we see of Geralt for some time, and they’ve sent the witcher’s adventures with a tremendously satisfying new story filled with wonderful characters and beautiful locations.
We’ll be starting a fresh game from the beginning of Blood & Wine’s story, so spoilers should be minimal. (And if, by chance, you haven’t yet finished the Witcher 3’s main story, the details of its ending will be hinted at only in the vaguest of terms.)
