With Darksiders: Warmaster edition hitting a slight delay, THQ Nordic certainly hasn't taken it to heart. The company today announced the closing of a deal to transfer the rights of several classic IPs to their library.
Through a deal with Novalogic, THQ has acquired the rights to some of gaming most treasured memories. Delta Force, Joint Ops and Comanche lead the deal with F-22, Armored Fist and Tachyon: The Fridge padding out the incomplete inventory mentioned in the official announcement.
Both John Garcia, CEO of NovaLogic Inc and Reinhard Pollice, THQ's business director offered statements on the closing of the deal:
“...happy to see the franchises we created in such capable hands.”, Garcia went on to say: “After 30 years of creating ground breaking Computer and Video Games we are proud to pass the baton to THQ Nordic. As individuals, they are enthusiastic gamers and as a company have shown the agility and acumen needed to propel our industry towards a much-needed reset.”
Speaking in return, Pollice, of THQ, commented: “NovaLogic pioneered military simulations and military-themed multiplayer shooters with vehicular combat and also clearly targeted at an adult audience,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development Director, THQ Nordic. “We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises, we are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP.”
