Didn't manage to get into the current For Honor beta tests? All is not lost. If you're hoping to get a little hands-on time before release, there's an Open Beta rolling out next week.
Between February 9-12, players unfortunate enough to be without a key who didn't take our advice to grab a practically guaranteed invite will have all the time in the world to crush some skulls pre-release.
Adding to the offerings of the current Closed Beta test, next week's phase will include the new Elimination mode. In this, combatants are pitted against each other in 4v4 bouts on a 'Best of Five' basis with no respawns. This mode joins the already present inclusion of the Dominion, Brawl and Duel modes made playable during last weekend's phase.

Those coming back from the Closed Beta will have one more chance to change the fate of thier chosen faction with the continuation of the War of the Factions event. In it, the three playable sides of Knights, Vikings and Samurai earn 'territories' for the wins in the main game. With the brutal Vikings currently taking the lead at 24 points, the last place Samurai have a long way to go at 15.
Interested? Well, being an open beta, there isn't anywhere to send you to fill in registration forms. Likely following in the footsteps of Steep, expect a download button to arrive on Steam early next week.
