For how much we've chimed on about Conan Exiles, we didn't quite expect to carry it onto into release, but given the game's Early Access state, it's going to be getting a lot of patches. With a game that's still in consistent, active development, there's still a lot to make its way into the final product - alongside other changes like balance and stability, of course.

So, going forward, we'll be getting track of the game's changelog through this one single post - much like we do for a couple of other notable titles. While updates seemed to be coming every day during its first week on sale, Funcom has since decided to dial it down noting that with so many unofficial servers, constant patches meant downtime for a lot more than just those playing on official servers.

So let's get to it;
Conan Exiles - Update #32 December 14 2017
You can read the full Blog Post on this update here. It adds a new Modification System for weapons, tool, and armor, dynamic weather changes (in the North only so far), new armour and weapons, new building and tool sets, and new Thrall capture methods. Oh, and apparently Panthers are once again harvestable. Um, hooray.
Thralls
- Thralls will remain in combat and can keep attacking after teleporting to the player while in combat
- It's no longer possible to equip a thrall with a two-handed weapon with an offhand item
- The Thrall character sheet will now update correctly when items are placed in equipment slots
- Placeable thralls that are converted no longer come out with a different skin color than they originally began with
- Taking armor off thralls will no longer result in a glitch where they retain armor stats after a server restart.
Gameplay Fixes
- Jumping into water should not give you frostbite
- The health regen buff should now work as intended
- Fence foundations can no longer be placed inside other foundation pieces to give non-diminishing stability
- Fixed a case where your character could not perform actions after an avatar summon
- Avatar of Mitra should now work properly after attacking
- It should now be possible to ban users with the same name as the admin's name
- A message now appears on projectiles that can be picked up
- Wheel of Pain and Greater Wheel of Pain now take damage with regular weapons
- Making a clan should now give the message "Clan Created", as intended
- Drinking from Water Wells now correctly fills thirst meter
- Shields take durability damage from other players again as intended
- Fixed a case where it was impossible to place items down in the highlands
- Foundations will no longer disappear when a player logs off away from a base in singleplayer.
- Panthers are once again harvestable.
- Toggling wield/unwield during a dodge roll no longer makes equipped items disappear
- Fixed a case where it was possible to duplicate inventory items
- Sewer Boss in the Dregs correctly attacks you when your character uses ranged weapons
- Fixed an instance where any remaining dye in your dye window would be unusable
- Avatar of Ymir should no longer be detached from the camera
General Bug Fixes and Improvements

- Siege foundations have a decay timer again.
- Fixed an issue with the Ice Rocknose Kings, where they could not attack targets too close to them.

- Putrid meat no longer weighs more than what it previously weighed.
- The client will no longer auto connect to the dedicated server from the main menu or singleplayer
- The "return to inventory" option is no longer greyed out for the Standing and Braketed Torch
- The descriptions for the Green Dragon Head and Red Dragon Head were previously switched
- Fish traps no longer display zero health when looking at it with a repair hammer
- Descriptions for Inverted Wedge Sloped Roofs has been corrected.
Known issues
- Weapon and shield racks have a visual bug where something attached to them might disappear. The item is still there, it's just not being rendered in.
- Shields on shield racks may disappear, leaving the player unable to interact with the shield rack. You can still dismantle the shield rack and get your shield back
Conan Exiles - Testlive 11.10.2017
Another day, another testlive patch. The best part about this latest patch it that 'nudity settings should correctly save now'. So all you nudists won't have to keep donning clothes and being oppressed by the system.
Changelog:
- We have implemented the carousel GUI, which now organizes features such as feats and journey into different tabs.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent players from advancing after editing name in character creation
- You can now move your character head in character creation when using a controller
- Items will now have a repair timer when repairing them. During the repair time, durability will visibly increase and it cannot be equipped until stopped.
- Camera collision when around unconscious thralls has been fixed.
- Female Zamorian Dancer clothes have been fixed up.
- Inventory GUI should no longer resize when items with long names are selected.
- When using a controller, the radial menu now has an arrow that indicates where the joystick is pointing within the circle.
- Thrall recipes correctly collapse when there is no thrall selected.
- You can now correctly craft items in the Artisan Worktable. Items are taken correctly from the station rather than your inventory, as the other machines do.
- Patched up a gap in the ground that allowed you to fall through the map.
- Placement of the Slopped Roof Corner and Corner Stairs is now easier.
- Black Ice-Reinforced Fences now correctly damage a climbing player.
- Food spoil times has been slightly reduced in cooking stations.
- Adjusted item output when drying normal wood.
- Certain armor pieces (such as the Relic Hunter garments) were not providing temperature protection, so this was fixed.
- It now takes fewer "chops" to empty an Ice and Black Ice node.
- Different healing items will no longer stack buffs; this means if you consume a higher healing item, it will overwrite the weaker buff.
- Black Ice nodes correctly provide black ice.
- Drinking water from the waterskin should now only cool you down if you are in the desert.
- Collision on the shellfish trap has returned.
- Mystery Meat soup should now only show up once for Tier 4 cooking thralls.
- Honeybread now grants extra benefits from regular bread.
- Mead now requires plantfibers instead of ale.
- Crocodiles have had enough and now fight back against hyenas.
- Shield durability has been increased.
- Fish traps should no longer sound like they're burning.
- Explosive glands should now drop correctly from imps.
- Should be easier to capture thralls with fiber bindings now.
- Trebuchet inventories can now be correctly opened.
- You can correctly interact with placeables under water.
- Bound thralls should no longer disappear into the ground with being dragged with bindings.
- Drinking from Water Wells correctly refills thirst meter.
- Nudity settings should correctly save now.
- Armored thralls can be correctly placed into the Armorer's Bench Thrall slot.
- The "Simple Palisades" and "Palisades" feat have been combined.
- The "Rugstitcher" and "Carpetmaker" feats have also been combined.
- The different Stygian banners are now one feat.
- The "Cushioner" and "Bedshaper" feat have been combined.
- Double clicking equipped armor will now send it back into your inventory.
- Death music has been added.
- The "shelter" stat has been optimized to be more reliable, so houses and caves correctly give shelter while water no longer does.
- Placement of the Slopped Roof Corner and Corner Stairs is now easier.
Conan Exiles - Testlive 06.09.2017
A week without a real patch can feel like forever for Conan Exiles players at this point, so with a few major fixes arriving on the 'testlive' server, it's worth mentioning them now as they're very likely to arrive on the public servers in no time at all.
Remember; to gain access to the Testlive server, you'll need to follow these instructions.
Changelog:
- Performance improvements which should help for both client and server performance.
- There is now a place marker on the map for your corpse when you die.
- You can now toggle locks on containers (chests). Machines and crafting stations cannot be locked. Interact with the chest via the radial menu to toggle lock/unlock.
- Dragonpowder and Explosive Jars no longer have decay timers
- Boars should no longer teleport after they charge
- Added new recipes to all tier 3 and higher thralls.
- Cooking thralls can be placed at the stove.
- Added an option to disable autowield. The default is off which means autowield/autosheath. If the option is turned on sprint will not work unless your hands are empty. You can change the settings in the options menu.
- Fixed a case where female characters would turn male and have a record breaking shlong.
- Loading screen should no longer disappear and then reappear when loading.
- Door/window frames will snap correctly now.
- You can now use an item while it is in a container. For example, you can eat directly from the campire without first moving it from the container.
Conan Exiles - Hotfix 30.08.2017
At this point, we're not really sure what constitutes a full-blown update against a hotfix, but today's 'hotfix' introduces a wave of changes; to the sprinting system, character handling and dodging. They seem like pretty sizable tweaks.
Changelog:
- Sprinting
- Starting to sprint will automatically sheathe your weapons.
- Your weapons will autowield when you stop sprinting.
- If you are in the air when you stop sprinting, you will autowield when you land.
- You can continue sprinting after a jump by simply keeping down the sprint button.
- This works after landing from climbing and sliding
- If you hold sprint down, you won't try to autowield when you land.
- Attacking while sprinting autowields now.
- Pressing the wield/sheathe button while sprinting stops sprinting
- Increased the leniency of the turning clamps during sprinting. The player character will only get kicked out of sprint when attempting very drastic turns. Also, it is now possible to run diagonally (i.e. hold sprint, W and A) while sprinting without breaking out of sprint.
- Characters now properly get out of the sprinting state if they run out of stamina or stop moving completely.
- Character Handling
- You can now hold block during a dodge and the character will actually go straight into block when the dodge is over. You can do the same with an attack.
- You can hold down block to keep blocking after you recover from a knockback/hit confirm.
- No more having to press the block button again after getting hit.
- This change applies to the wield action as well; you can press and hold attack while sprinting to execute an attack when the wield animation is over.
- If you were harvesting with, say, a hatchet, you can press and hold attack while sprinting to autowield your hatchet and swing as soon as the wield animation is finished.
- Dodge is now allowed during wield animations.
- Other Fixes
- Glass Flasks can now be filled at all water sources
- Fixed a problem where you cannot rebind mouse buttons in the Keybinding section
- Text input for message of the day is now easier to use both on PC and Xbox
- Removed log spam for creatures failing to spawn
- Fixed a client crash related to blueprint dependencies
- Explosive jars are now gone from all loot tables, both chests and NPCs
- Black Ice Crenelated walls now correctly deal damage to climbing players
- Clan owner can now promote another member to Leader
- Fixed a problem with loss of recipes/recipes going invisible. "Lost" recipes are returned to recipes window.
- Exploding Imps now drop Explosive Glands again
- Explosive Jars now perish after 24 hours. This is a temporary change (see below)
- Dragonpowder now perishes after 30 minutes
- You will now only get Tar when dismantling Explosive Jars
- Added missing crafting station images
- The Crude Wooden Bowl can now be interacted with properly.
- We now show Attributes description when one of the buttons is selected with a controller.
- Highland wine can now be crafted correctly
- Fixed an instance where you would incorrectly equip previously equipped weapons.
- Fixed inventory latency/freeze
- Switching weapons in midair should now work again
Conan Exiles - Hotfix 17.08.2017
As with any good expansion, it's rarely perfect. With a lot of new features comes the high risk of many more bugs. As quick as ever, Funcom have begun to identify, squash and identify some more. For those having keybind issues, though, they recommend this page.
Changelog:
- Newly created characters who choose Ymir as their religion will receive the recipe for Altar to Ymir. Unfortunately, the fix did not unlock it for characters created before this hotfix. You can use the yellow lotus potion to reset your stats and recipes. This will give you your Ymir alter feat rather than having to recreate your character.
- Certain meshes were missing from weapons. These have been added back.
- On PvP servers you can now damage other player's buildings.
- Serverlist now properly displays G-portal logo
- Journey Steps now properly complete
- Journey Chapter 1 now completes correctly
- Death Knight no longer tilts when walking down slopes
- You now correctly receive Map Discovery notifications.
- You now also correctly receive Journey notifications
- Fixed an issue with some foundations not properly upgrading
- Buildings can be placed easier in certain scenarios-especially when using a controller

Conan Exiles - The Frozen North
Conan Exiles is a game that just keeps on giving. Seeing frequent updates since its launch back in January, the free Frozen North update brings not only a new zone to explore, but a plethora of changes for players new and old.
Changelog:
- If you are an admin you can use CTRL- RMB on the map screen to teleport to that location
- Fixed an instance where placing doors or elevators was impossible.
- Fixed a problem with thrall placement and intersection with wall
- Grass/foliage is no longer missing in certain areas
- Thralls are no longer invisible while on a station
- Non-guild members can now interact with chairs and benches
- You can no longer prevent fall damage when logging out.
- Dancer thralls no longer show as "bad entry" when picked up.
- Raised shields now correctly prevent damage from NPCs.
- Consumables now display spoil times
- Fixed an instance where crashing occurs when taking a thrall out of a station
- Adjusted spider ranged attacks

Conan Exiles - Hotfix 19.07.2017
Say goodbye to erecting a mountain-side house while clinging on for dear life - that's gone. But you can get back into third-person mode while up there, at least.

Conan Exiles - Update 28
Consider yourself a mountain climber looking to get the drop on your enemies? Now's your chance. Conan Exiles Update 28 means it's possible to climb just about any surface your can muster - regardless of where your hands and feet would go.
It also brought an engine upgrade - so expect some glitches.
Changelog:
- Balance and Gameplay Fixes
- Player can now place building blocks underwater
- Balanced the damage dealt by explosive jars; this means that far objects hit by the explosion will take higher damage than before
- Reptile hide should now be harvestable with daggers
- Machines that require burnable fuel now accept branches as fuel
- The stack size for meat has been increased to 20, previously was 10.
- Gruel now weights 0,1 instead of 0,3
- Being over encumbered will now allow movement at a limited movement speed. It still applies stamina penalties based on the amount of encumbrance.

- Fixed some of the issues related with player state after logging off
- Explosive Jars no longer requires a level 30 feat to learn
- Arrows now cause shields to lose durability when hit

- Broken highway no longer triggers multiple times for all the players on the server
- Fixed spawn timer, this fixes some of the issues where NPCs would respawn instantly; spiders in the cave no longer get spawned instantly after the player kills them.

Conan Exiles - Update 27
It's been a while since we've seen such a long gap between content update - but things have to slow down eventually! The main headline of this one is essentially the ability to become a god killer. With Avatars now being able to be defeated, their summoning is no longer certain doom for your dense city walls.

- Destroyed trebuchet should now drop loot no matter how it's destroyed

- Balance and Gameplay Fixes
- Avatars can now be damaged. Each attack against an avatar will remove some time from the summoning timer until the avatar finally disappears. The amount of time removed depends on the amount of damage done.
- NEW CONTENT: Added a new weapon type: Orbs. There are four orb types: fire, poison, oil, water. Orbs can be crafted in the firebowl cauldron, by an alchemist thrall.
- NEW CONTENT: Added drawbridge
- NEW CONTENT: Added crenelated walls
- NEW CONTENT: Added siege cauldron. Attaches to crenelated walls. Uses tar as ammo, greets attackers with boiling tar.
- NEW CONTENT: Added horizontal and vertical elevators
- NEW CONTENT: Added avatar defense. Tier 3 altars with an archpriest can perform a ritual that creates a large protective area around the altar.
- Firebowl cauldron has been changed from an automatic combination machine to a recipe-based crafting station.
- The map will now show players carrying an avatar token as well as all Tier 3 altars.
- It should now be possible to shoot through window frames
- Small campfires now require only 5 branches.
- Weight of leather is now more consistent with other resources
- Increased hitpoints of misc placeables
- Improved controller navigation to and from the dye grid
- Cobras and Locusts now drop Toxin/Venom glands when harvested
- Made it easier to build foundations up and down slopes
- It should no longer be possible to place altars too close to each other
- Lowered triggerbox for traps, making it more difficult to trigger them through ceiling pieces
- Vapor Traps now trigger after a 0.1 second delay, down from 1 second
- Flawless and Exceptional Hyrkanian bows should now do more damage and have more durability than the base bow, as is intended
- Hitpoints on building pieces have been drastically increased. The new Orbs fill the function of T1 explosives. Explosive Jars are now T2 explosives.
- Added Exploding Imp enemy, which can be harvested for explosive gland
- Added puffer shrooms, which is used to craft gas orbs
- Combat update: Basic attacks do less damage and won't consume stamina. Heavy attacks do relatively more damage, but requires more stamina.
- Combat update: Poise values have been updated. Weapons now have knockback power according to the weapon type.
- Combat update: Crossbows now have more knockback power than bows. Existing ammo types no longer affect knockdown power.
- Damage from Explosive Jars and Fire Orbs should now check for visibility and won't do damage through walls except for a tiny amount (5 points) of shock damage to detonate other Jars in the blast radius.
- Armor should no longer protect you from fall damage
- Server Settings
- Added a max ping filter (MaxAllowedPing). It is enabled on official servers by default.
- Audiovisual Improvements
- Updated range at which low res models are being displayed
- Updated textures on Large water well
- Updates textures on Stygian/Large carpet

- Added a system for tucking clothes when they overlap

Conan Exiles - Hotfix 18.05.2017
Not a whole lot to go on here, but a hotfix is never a bad thing. If anything, the Steam comments are getting better with each necessary fix. At least you can sit on benches now!
- Disabled some console commands that can crash the server.
- Wooden Bowl requires wood instead of stone
- You can now sit on Wooden Bench placeables
- Feats learned from Dregs dungeon and other sources are no longer lost on feat reset
- Fixed problems with emotes causing human NPCs to not attack you
- Religious tables properly teach you emotes again

Conan Exiles - Hotfix 28.04.2017
It feels like not a day goes by where certain players of Conan Exiles aren't making use of a few major exploits. It all started with explosive jars and Nvidia Ansel and now it's players feigning logouts to avoid object collision. Thankfully, even that's no longer possible in the conventional sense.

Conan Exiles - Hotfix 07.04.2017
It's a hotfix! That means there's stuff to mop up after the massive Update 24. Other players will no longer notice you starving to death off in distance and come and finish the job - there's a fat chance of them helping you, anyway. Avatar tokens will degrade over time, too.

Conan Exiles - Update 24
Well... this one came far more quickly than we could have anticipated. Potentially firing ahead with weekly releases for some of the game's more ambitious content, we've receieved access to Conan Exile's first dungeon just a week after the trebuchet threatened to level the playing-fields. Here's everything you need to know;

- Balance pass on Bows:
- Simple Bow range has been increased
- Hyrkanian Bow range has been dramatically increased
- Crossbow range has been reduced but they now shoot much faster
- We have done an overhaul on what monsters can damage which tier of buildings.
- Increased crafting XP across the board with greater increases for crafting more complex (higher tier) items
- Inverted Wooden Roof Wedge and Stonebrick Frame now require Journeyman Craftsman instead of Master Craftsman
- Black rocks in the starting desert are now harvestable
- Higher grade tools now yields greater amounts of secondary resources (Bark/branches)
- Resetting your Knowledge Points no longer causes you to lose your selected religion
- Removed Corruption sources from starting area caves
- Removed the Regen component from Purified Meat. This perk is reserved to Mitra's Ambrosia and Healing Potions. Purified Meat is still an extremely good food source
- Player corpses can only be harvested for religious purposes once every 30 minutes

- Known Issues
- We are currently aware of the following inventory issues with this patch, all of which may be temporarily solved by relogging:
- Looting several bags with "Loot All" causes items to disappear
- Dropping multiple items into a bag causes items to be invisible
- Dismantling crafting stations with items in them will sometimes not drop a loot bag. Other times, a small lootbag will drop, which grows in size once players interact with it
- Performed optimizations to help reduce server lag.
- Fixed certain cases where altars would disappear after a server restart. If you still encounter this issue, please let us know!
- Fixed connecting to dedicated servers when a LAN server is running on the network.
- The ghostly warrior to the southwest of the Exiled Lands has passed on to the next realm.

When is a hotfix not a hotfix? Well... never, really. It may not be the hottest of fixes or fix the hottest of problems; but it's a miniscule patch that does what it set out to do.

What's a massive patch without a few problems? It's Early Access - that's what we've all bought into! Highlights of the minor update include the ability to loot corpses like a pro, performance improvements when placing buildings within cliffs and identifying the need to look into that one a little more. Ok, that last one wasn't a fix.

For those caught a little off guard by the UK standard for arranging dates, this is the first update of March! And it's a big one. For two reason. Coming in at 14gb, it's mostly down to optimisations meaning textures need to be redownloaded. The other reason is it just having a fair lamount of fixes like halting the constant harvesting of your own body - though we'd consider that a feature.

There's no rest to be had in the perilous sands of the Exiled Land, and Funcom had just two days to prep another large-scale update after their last. Conan Exiles - Patch 21.02.2017
While not listing many major changes for the vast majority of players, this one comes in as an attempt and promise to improve how the game handles in Asian territories.
Starting with some new servers being brought up this very day, Asia will soon have their own server network located closer to home. For now, however, they're situated a little further away while the team ships some new hardware out there.

Change your passwords! It's not quite as widespread as a Yahoo! hack, but there was apparently a problem allowing for others to hijack servers due to a vulnerability. After this, the team will start to re-enable BattlEye.

Lots more changes follow an already rather robust patch. Explosive jars can no longer become a totem of death, and the game should boot much more swifty. Placeable item holds should no longer send goods to the void and characters shouldn't be bouncing back and forth quite so much. It's an ambitious shot, but let's hope it holds up.

The crowd-please arrives. After some preliminary patch notes on Valentine's Day, Funcom put out the biggest Conan Exiles patch to date 24 hours later. Though it isn't saying much considering the game itself has been out for just over two weeks, it's many times larger than the rest. Here's the scoop;

Breaking yet another record. we've arrived at a patch published on a day that doesn't match its title. Released on February 11, this one moves a certain ghostly warrior while offering a few more optimisations - through the comments don't see to reflect that.

Carrying on the legacy of the patch before it, here's another miniscule change - the ability to find a server through its IP address alone. Great.

It might be the smallest patch in the history of patch updates, but anything that stops an entire server from breaking down when using a simple in-game function is probably a boon.

Carrying on the trend of daily updates despite hopeful plans to think a little bit about the poor people who have to implement them onto their server, this one stops Thralls from continuously beating on NPCs who've already taken one for the team. Here's the low-down!

- You will now be able to change filters on the server browser while the list is refreshing
- The crafting bug involving duped phantom items should now be fixed (Praise Crom!)
- Thralls will no longer attack unconscious NPCs
- After a few turns on the wheel of pain the server browser has promised to stop brutalizing network adaptors.

Conan Exiles - Patch 07.02.2017
Another day, another patch. Thankfully a little more bountiful in the additions department, the overall fixes - alongside the larger Physx tweak - should help performance in the long run. Notice it?

- Fixed a server crash that could occur when "actors" left the world.
- Postpone Steam connection until the map is loaded (should help servers timing out)
- Physx will now run on multiple threads on the server which should improve performance.

- Fixed exploit that could occur when players crafted foundations.
- When joining a server that server will also be favorited automatically.

Conan Exiles - Patch 05.02.2017
Notice how these are just separated into their date of release rather than a regular old patch or build number? It still looks like one, but it isn't! Improvements here come in the form of network optimisations all angles, the ability to knock NPCs out cold and removing the ability for the Cutlass and Falcata to deal damage to a T1 building.

- Fixed an issue in the Land Claim system that could allow players to build too close to other players. This may result in some lost building pieces if they overlap into land that had already been claimed by another player.
- We have made the interactions with the game database more robust, and added regular checks for its integrity during runtime.
Conan Exiles - Patch 04.02.2017
This quick little number just addresses a few network issues that plagued the performance of servers due to how the game would handle network traffic. Server crashes and hangs should be address, and a single dead chicken or something.

Feel like visiting a certain part of this desolate wasteland would have you struck down by the gods? That was a server bug. Expect that to be a thing of the past. Also includes critical updates like the ability to properly scroll through the player list.

- Players should now receive an informative dialogue box when failing to connect to the game.
