With just over a week to go until launch, we're still no closer to understanding the mystery that is Resident Evil 7. Does this final trailer help? Not so much.
Though we may actually see a longer 'Launch Trailer' pick things up a little a day or two prior to release, this new trailer at least attempts to play on our curiosity a little more.
44 seconds of a narrator guiding us through the dark, desolate corridors of the proposed Baker Family Home does little to convince us of its friendly wording. We've been welcomed to the family in multiple ways since the original demo dropped shortly after the game's reveal last year, but being welcomed home yet again only has us asking more questions.
Unsure if you'll be able to tour the Baker family home on your rig? Check out the system requirements here.
Before trailing off toward the end of video, the narrator presumably reveals himself to be a member of the family so hell-bent on force-feeding us and breaking through their own walls and kitchen table. "Welcome to the family" are the words we've heard all too much since the game's debut, and its meaning is getting closer day-by-day. Home is safe. Home is love... Welcome home! Seems they can't wait to have us.
Resident Evil 7 launches January 24. You can pick up the game through Steam for some hopeful pre-load just before; or you can grab the updated Beginning Hour demo to get a handy preview of what's to come.
