Paradox Interactive are usually pretty open with their customers. Essentially hosting their stockholder meetings on Twitch to act as inpromtu Q&A sessions multiple times a year, they certainly wouldn't sit out something as open as the Game Developers Conference.
Though we're still just over a month away from the start of GDC, they're already giving off a little tease as to what we can expect to see once it all kicks off February 27.
Though we can imagine a good chunk of their time at the conference will be used to show off the Xbox One version of Cities Skylines after announcing it well over a year ago, it's the big updates to their well established RTS releases we'll be most interested in. That and the promise of a new game, of course. Suddenly it seems as if Cities: Skylines is suddenly the least of their concerns.
Paradox Interactive will be using one of the biggest business-related gaming conferences to announce the first major expansion to Stellaris; one they promise will be far grander in scale than the updates it's received since launch. But that isn't the only big expansion they have planned. Other than their continued push of a big-name publisher, they'll be dishing out detailed tours of the what's next for Europe Universalis IV.
But what about this promised new game? Well, they're hyping it up to be a creation under the wing of a new third-party developer through a new partnership. We won't know the details until the event, but it's supposed to be another RTS with a strong multiplayer focus.
