Looking forward to the second year of Rainbow Six: Siege? Good! You made it happen. Here's how it'll kick off.
Disguised as a 41 second demo reel, Ubisoft released a teaser trailer that teases in more ways that most. Promising more info at next month's Six Invitational tournament, they're almost ready to kick-start Year 2 of a game that wasn't designed to make it through the first.
Following in similar footsteps to the last, Year 2 content is likely to arrive in 2-3 month bursts - with the addition of 2 new Spanish 'Operators' being the first. Entering with a few slow plucks of a guitar, the music quickly ramps up from the classic Spanish tone to the fever of a nightclub escapade. Set in party-heavy Ibiza, these unsuspecting attractions are about to get hit hard.
Rainbow Six: Siege Impressed Enough For Ubisoft To Build A New Pro Circuit
Ubisoft provided narrative detail by saying: "Get ready for an effervescent night ambience with neon lights of bars and open-air parties, which Ibiza is famous for. Daytime is a hazy afternoon on a hot summer day after a long night out."
Later DLC releases will usher in other foreign fighters from Hong Kong, Poland and South Korea. PC Gamer expects the Hong Kong Operators to roll out in May with each pack containing a single new map and various new weapons and cosmetics.
