Battletech: Flashpoint is the first major content pack released for the popular mech strategy, and not only does it add lots of new gameplay options and content to enjoy, but it also signifies what's coming next for Battletech!
Battletech: Flashpoint DLC adds the titular Flashpoints - high-stakes, branching short stories which link together various mercenary missions, conversations, events, choices, and rewards to further bolster Battletech's endgame. Flashpoint also introduces new mechs, and other interesting features.
Immediately obvious will be the inclusion of a new tropical biome, offering a new backdrop for your mech-slaying activities. Do beware, however, of the biome's corrosive spore clouds, capable of damaging mechs - both yours, and those of your enemies!
Two new Battlemechs are also making an entry, as well as the Target Acquisition game mode, where you'll have to take control of three separate locations in order to destroy an enemy installation before time runs out. All of this works in conjunction with the Flashpoints themselves, integrating into the base game well.
Battletech: Flashpoint is now available via Steam for €17,99. Alternatively, you can also purchase the Battletech Season Pass for €49,99, and which will include two more major Battletech expansions!
