Anno 117: Pax Romana Latest Patch Notes - Patch 1.6
Anno 117: Pax Romana’s latest update went live on June 18, following the launch of the title’s Blooming Cities Pack cosmetic DLC. It adds a new Landscaping Patterns cosmetic category, makes distinguishing rioting units easier, alongside other changes.

Improvements & Changes
Gameplay
- Added a new “Landscaping Patterns” cosmetic category with “Ambrosian Forest” and “Celtic Forest” garden patterns
- It’s now possible for co-op players to change the skin of an object from one they don’t own to any they own
- Improved the behaviour of cut grass around certain decorative ornaments
- Changed the prioritization of demolish tool, so that ornaments on top of ground plates can be demolished first, then ground plates
- Making peace will now properly delay any further diplomatic agreements
- Rivals’ ornaments placement is now more distinct
- Added all gold and coal producers to the list of Vulcan’s buffs
UI & UX
- Added info to ornaments to show if they are from Hall of Fame, Twitch Drops or other sources
- Added a new icon for the “Imperial Garlands” Villa skin
- The selection with the Cosmetic Tool has been improved
- Changed the notification timer for bankruptcy, so it does not trigger every time the player is under the threshold
- Rioting units can now be more easily distinguished from the player’s military units

Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where the cancel button reopens the destruction notification pop-up after moving buildings to a blocked construction area
- Fixed an issue where raiders would continue to spawn ships even when their enemies are near
- Fixed an issue where the tremors from the volcano could be felt in Albion
- Fixed an issue where the Governor Decision The Pen’s Might sometimes only showed one choice
- Fixed an issue where Neferneru would immediately declare war on the player if they settled on the continental island
- Fixed an issue where rival units could become stuck on another island after leaving the “Stonehenge island”
- Fixed an issue where the Prophecies of Ash questline would not trigger
- Fixed an issue with canals not displaying the correct number of canal tiles
- Please note: you will need to rebuild a single canal tile to trigger a recalculation and get the correct number.
UI, UX & Controls
- Fixed an issue where the warning icon overlapped texts in the island takeover screen
- Fixed an issue where the shrine of Vulcan had the shrine of Mars icon in the global tab of the religion menu
- Fixed an issue where the skin name “Default Skin” was displayed after switching to “Golden Star” skin for the flagship
- Fixed an issue where the button prompt was missing for the statistics tutorial
- Fixed an issue where the info-tip of the volcano phase could slightly shift side to side during certain volcano phases
- Fixed an issue that would not show the current skin selection in the object menu when opened for the first time
- Fixed an issue where the trade route menu and diplomacy menu were present in the start of the campaign, but not interactable; they are now hidden
- Fixed an issue where the construction grids could disappear
- Fixed an issue where the tutorial pop-up for obsidian quarries could not be closed
- Fixed an issue where the player could lose all ways to control the camera after pressing the “Move in Formation” button while holding the ALT button
- Fixed an issue where the skin selection could skip some variants when looking through them
- Fixed an issue where auto-building ornamental walls around buildings would trigger a construction area blocked and could not be placed
- Removed the effect tray from ornamental walls, as ornaments can’t be affected by effects
- Improved diplomacy notifications now they will show named rivals in the notification
- Fixed an issue where ornamental gates could overlap and duplicate when placed above diagonal roads
Art / Visuals
- Fixed an issue where puddles would be visible through ground plates in Albion
- Fixed an issue where the volcanic ash was unevenly spread across marble and paved quay streets
- Water is now removed from the aqueduct when the aqueduct is not connected to a source
Text & Loca
- Fixed a typo in The Price of Iron quest.
- Removed the word “pack” from the cosmetic content in the construction menu
- Changed “Manufakturen” to “Hersteller” for German language for the item “Konstruktivistin”
- Updated text from “Bar” to “Menu” in the quick tools edit mode
- Fixed the descriptions of Concordia’s negative reason for selling statues
