Have you spotted Mushroom Circles in BG3’s Underdark and wondered what they’re for? Mushroom Circles, as the name suggests, are clusters of mushrooms arranged in a circular pattern. These circles possess magical properties that allow adventurers to use them as a means of instant travel.
Overall, they function like a teleport feature that takes you to a fixed location, unlike fast travel points that you can freely choose on the map. Regardless, this useful feature can help you traverse your way through the Underdark and other locations quickly and with less hassle. Find out how to find and use Baldur’s Gate 3 Mushroom Circles in the Underdark.
How to Use BG3 Mushroom Circle Underdark
To use a mushroom circle, all you need to do is find one and step onto its surface. You will then be instantly teleported to a new location, depending on which Mushroom Circle you use.
In the current version of the game, there are four Mushroom Circles located in different places. Below, you’ll find a list of all the Mushroom Circle locations in the game and how you can access them.
- Overgrown Tunnel Circle: found in the Overgrown Tunnel area. You’ll need to wear a mask and jump over a gap to reach it.
- Hag’s Lair Circle: Found in the Hag Lair dungeon, you’ll need to first defeat the Hag inside her lair to access this circle.
- Teahouse Circle: found below the Cave of Auntie Ethel’s Teahouse.
- Druid Grove Circle: found on the East side of Druid Grove.
It’s worth noting that Mushroom Circles are not accessible from the start of your journey in the Underdark. You may need to progress through certain quests or meet specific criteria before unlocking the ability to use these transportation methods. However, once you gain access, Mushroom Circles become an invaluable tool for fast travel.
