Fallout 76 Steam was, at first, thought to be little more than a pipe dream, seeing as how Bethesda decided to completely forego Valve's digital marketplace for a while, in favour of their own Bethesda.net client. That said, they've since confirmed that the game will, indeed, be coming to Steam.
The answer to the question of when is Fallout 76 coming to Steam is currently quite tentative, and Bethesda were very vague with their wording during the official announcement. That said, we'll keep this guide up-to-date with new info as it is released, so stick around.
When is Fallout 76 Steam coming out?
"RAGE 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and DOOM Eternal will be released on Steam as well as Bethesda.net," said Bethesda's official Twitter a while back. "We will also be bringing Fallout 76 to Steam later this year."
Since then, RAGE 2 was, indeed, released on Steam to considerable success, even though the game wasn't exactly beloved by critics across the board. The experience was marred by the inclusion of Denuvo anti-tamper, which was rumoured to greatly affect performance and whatnot, but Bethesda quickly got rid of the DRM due to backlash.
As of now, we've got no additional info on when might Fallout 76 Steam be coming out, but rest assured that we'll keep you up-to-speed as soon as we catch a whiff of news. As it stands, it might come out tomorrow for all we know.
