FFXVI is gearing up to deliver another epic chapter in Square Enix’s acclaimed RPG series. Whether you’re eager to see how it handles a medieval-inspired setting or are curious about its more action-driven style of combat, chances are that you’re wondering what the Final Fantasy XVI Xbox Series X release date might be.
A FF16 Xbox Series X Release Date would bring the action RPG to a new audience, introducing more players to the new protagonist Clive Rosfield and his rather eventful life. Here’s what we currently know about the possibility of a launch on Microsoft’s consoles.
Final Fantasy 16 Xbox Series X Release Date
Publisher Square Enix has yet to share a whole lot regarding a potential FF16 Xbox Series X release date. Instead, it focused exclusively on the action RPG’s PlayStation 5 version during its initial marketing efforts.
We know for a fact that FFXVI is a six-month exclusive on the PS5 platform, launching in the latter part of June 2023. This easily pushes any potential Xbox Series X release date into 2024 at the earliest.

Unfortunately, that is also the full extent of what we know about the subject at this point in time. The publisher hasn’t mentioned specific names of other platforms the game could arrive on, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Past titles in the series have made their way to Microsoft’s consoles, so we certainly can’t rule out Final Fantasy 16 eventually getting an Xbox Series X release date. We’ll keep you posted.
