As the latest installment in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy 16 is set in a world called Valisthea, which has a long history of disease and conflict. If count among those hoping to join protagonist Clive Rosfield on his epic journey, you may be curious about whether FF16 will be released on Steam.
Undoubtedly, Final Fantasy XVI is one of the most highly anticipated action RPGs of 2023, and it’s no surprise that many of us are hoping for a Steam release. Despite the emergence of competing platforms like the Epic Games Store, Valve’s storefront remains the top choice among PC gamers.
FF16 Steam Release
Unfortunately, there are currently no official details regarding a potential Final Fantasy 16 Steam release. Heading into 2023, Publisher Square Enix has mainly focused on hyping up the game’s PS5 version.
This makes sense, too, as a PC version isn’t expected to launch prior to 2024, going by what Producer Naoki Yoshida said at the end of February 2023.

If and when FF16 does arrive on PC, we expect it to also benefit from a Steam release. Multiple games in the series, including its predecessors, are already on the storefront, which makes it likely that the latest will follow suit.
Of course, Epic exclusivity also remains a possibility, but no signs currently point towards the title taking that approach when it comes to its PC version.
We won’t know for sure if a FFXVI Steam release is on the cards until the publisher officially announces it, but we’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we know more.
