Hogwarts Legacy troll bogeys count among the many ingredients you’ll have to track down if you plan on completing all your assignments and crafting as many potions as you can.
You’ll likely first encounter Hogwarts Legacy troll bogeys as one of the objectives required for Professor Onai’s assignment, which teaches you the useful Descendo spell, but they’re also used when crafting the Invisibility potion. Although you might not have seen any up until that point, getting them is rather straightforward.
Hogwarts Legacy Troll Bogeys
One way to obtain Hogwarts Legacy troll bogeys is buying them from J. Pippin’s Potions, one of the many shops you’ll find located in Hogsmeade. It’s just north of the West Hogsmeade Floo Flame.
Each troll bogey costs 100 galleons, so you’d ideally want to head to the shop with at least some coins in your magical pockets.
If that’s not an option or you’ve exhausted Pippin’s stock, there is an alternative way of getting Hogwarts Legacy troll bogeys.
The trick is in their name, which means that all you need to do is track down some trolls, defeat them, and collect the items from their corpses.
Since Hogwarts Legacy’s map is quite large, you may find trolls at several different locations, but troll lairs have proven to be the most reliable spots for us, at least thus far.
Troll lairs are found in the southern parts of The Highlands, marked on the map with a fairly distinctive cave symbol. As an example, you can find one west of the Rookwood Castle Floo Flame.
The beasts use both ranged and melee attacks, but their patterns are easy to learn and most of them can be blocked using Protego. They do have quite a bit of health, which is what can make these fights rather challenging.
