The alpha state for Smite 2 is out now. If you’ve purchased the Founder’s Edition, you will gain access. However, you may have an error message saying Access Denied (Authentication Limited) and found that you can’t log in to the servers.
Is it possible that you missed some steps during the installation process or are you having problems solving this issue? The good news is that it isn’t your fault, the servers just haven’t opened yet or its down because of a patch that’s being added. Once you’ve downloaded the latest patch, the issue should be resolved.
What does the Smite 2 Access Denied (Authentication Limited) Error mean?
Smite 2 isn’t launching until the 27th of August, so if you bought the Founder’s Edition and have preloaded the game, you may have loaded it up to the greeting of this error message. Once Smite 2 launches on the 27th, this error message will go.
We may see it appear again down the road when Smite 2 launches out of early access, or when the servers go down for maintenance. This will happen from time to time as it’s mainly a multiplayer game, so we expect to see downtime to install the latest patches.
If we hear of any server status updates, or if the Access Denied issue is more prevalent at launch, we will keep you posted on how long this error will keep popping up for.
Hi-Rez Studios says it will be giving out Alpha codes on its social media platforms and to those who signed up on the website, but it’s not guaranteed to give you access before launch. The servers won’t open until the 27th.
