In the latest Alien map in Dead by Daylight lies a secret room with a chest that guarantees a random purple item to any survivor willing to try to break into it.
Now, you may think that you just need to repair a specific generator to enter this room, similar to how you would access the secret room in the Midwich Elementary School from the Silent Hill Chapter.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case. In fact, entering this room has nothing to do with repairing a generator. It’s an entirely different process involving finding a keycard and hacking into a terminal—as if you’re looking for a last resort option in a doomed commercial space tug. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to open the secret room in the Nostromo Wreckage map in DBD.
Unlock the Nostromo Wreckage Secret Room in Dead by Daylight
DBD’s Nostromo Wreckage map offers a unique challenge for survivors by hiding a secret room within its depths. To enter this secret area, players must first retrieve a keycard from the dead body of an astronaut.
In the game, the body spawns randomly within the map, but generally, there’s a higher chance that you’ll spot it beside the stairs near the ship’s entrance or lockers around the ship.
Upon finding the astronaut’s body, hold the crouch button and press left-click to collect the keycard. You must be crouched to retrieve the keycard; otherwise, you won’t be able to grab it.
Once in possession of the keycard, head to the control panel located inside the left wing of the wreck. This control panel is where the keycard will be inserted and used to unlock the Hack Terminal interaction, which is essentially a “mini-game.”
To complete the hacking sequence from the control panel, you only need to press Left, Down, Up, and Right, in that order. Once the hacking sequence is completed successfully, the airlock door beside the control panel will unlock, revealing the entrance to the secret room. Inside, there will be a chest, and you can open it to collect your purple item.
