Resident Evil 2 Remake is out soon, and the Resident Evil 2 demo is out today. However, it's only a one shot demo, meaning that you have only a limited time to play it. But is there a Resident Evil 2 demo extend method? How do you extend the Resident Evil 2 demo?
It'll be tricky, but we'll do our best to answer and show you how to extend the Resident Evil 2 demo</b>. We're sure that hackers might have more direct methods... but for now, we'll go strictly legal...
Resident Evil 2 Demo Extend - How to Extend the Resident Evil 2 Demo Time
The Resident Evil 2 one shot demo is designed to be 30 minutes long, in total. Because it's "one shot" that means you only have those 30 minutes to play. You can restart or resurrect as much as you like, or indeed play through the whole story chapter as much as you like... but you cannot play more than 30 minutes. And that means if you exit the demo and come back, you don't get those 30 minutes back. You literally get to play JUST 30 minutes, once, and then the demo won't work anymore.
So what happens if you use up your 30 minutes? You can watch the trailer, but that's it.
So, can you extend the Resident Evil 2 one shot demo? Not exactly. If you finish the story mission, you can start again... but only with the remaining time you have left. If it took you 28 minutes to complete the chapter, you'll restart the demo and have just 2 minutes to play again.
Can you replay the demo then? Sort of... but you'll need to do it on different accounts. If you own a PS4, Xbox One, and PC, you can download and play the demo on each of those. If you just have one though, in our case PC, you'll have to setup multiple Steam accounts in order to play the demo again. This can be easily done - you'll just need several email addresses, and you never have to use those again.
If however you don't want to create multiple Steam accounts on your PC, and don't mind straying into hacking waters, there is a Resident Evil 2 demo trainer .exe file available that lets you disable the timer at the press of a button. The program simply runs in the background, and you load the demo up, then press the cheat of your choice. Unfortunately we cannot direct you to it, but we're show you can do a Google search. Just be careful what you download. Oh, and if you already played it on PC and used up your 30 minutes, the trainer won't do you any good since you need to be playing to use it.
Just remember the story ends after Marvin calls you back to the main hall with "something urgent" - so DO NOT return to him if you want to carry on exploring the station. The demo area isn't particularly huge anyway, so even without the 30 minute demo there's not a gigantic amount to see before you have to end it.
Resident Evil 2 is out on January 25.
