So how does it work?
You download a 20 MB file and wait for it to downgrade the game to patch 4 and take up 3-5 GB extra disk space.
You also need to carefully follow all the instructions where the first step is this:
Unzip contents of XComDownP6toP4v2.zip into ..\SteamApps\common folder
When you have mastered this step, I am absolutely certain that you will be skilled enough to locate the file named Instructions.txt and follow the instructions in there to the letter.
