This new version which won’t ”use the PS3 browser” any longer, was the result of feedback from PAL PS3 gamers, that being the region not a comment upon their skin complexion.
This new store design will need everyone to upgrade to the new 2.30 firmware, which Sony is yet to fully announce.
”It will cache all images properly and is much faster than the old one,” says a Sony source.
They won’t be updating the PS3 store until this new sleek version is launched they say, let’s just hope they keep account security in a better state too.
”Content will be suspended for two weeks while the improvements are carried out but users can look forward to a special update in mid-April.”
No word on the PSP Store, only the PS3 is getting the spa treatment it would seem.
