While the first game did eventually make its way to keyboard and mouse, Bleszinski seems quite adamant that GoW2 won’t follow.
He says that Gears of War is ”first and foremost” a great franchise for Xbox 360 and that’s why they’re not going to bother with a port ”this time around,” pity.
Gears of War came to PC as a revised version of the game adding a little more to the single player experience - though was dogged by the decision to include the Games for Windows Live stuff.
”Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we’re focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We’ve decided we’re not going to do a PC version this time around,” revealed Bleszinski, having a chat with IGN.
Gears of War 2 is promised to offer ”nice closure” to the story and help fill in a lot of the gaps this November 7th.
