Voice actor Carlos Ferro claims that Epic’s upcoming shoot, cover and saw-athon - Gears of War 2 - will be tugging on the heart strings way more than underwater Rapture.
Ferro voices Dominic Santiago, who is the partner of main character Marcus Fenix. The sequel will have Dominic searching for his lost wife while battling to save humanity.
”Beyond it,” Ferro says, in an interview with OXM UK. ”I said it. It’s going to be more emotionally effecting than Bioshock. A lot happens.”
So will Dominic ‘Tearjerker’ Santiago really deliver the goods? The trouble with war, especially one of species, is that it tends to illicit more of anger and adrenaline that it does the need for a tissue box and a bucket of ice cream.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see till November when the Xbox360 exclusive Gears of War 2 will hit the stores.
