SCi, the parent company to Eidos Interactive, has filed papers with the Registrar of Companies to assume the name of Eidos for themselves.
There’s no specific date when this will take effect. SCi is currently said to be in discussions with EA and Ubisoft for a possible takeover bid, but there’s little anyone is saying.
The company has already cut back 25% of its overall workforce and scrapped up to 14 videogame projects in its own bid to reduce losses, something which only seems to be delaying the inevitable right now.
