Microsoft Game Studios’ Kudo Tsunoda has said he finds it the ”best place” there is for creative minds to be ”supported” by game makers.
He reveals that Sony wasn’t alluring enough compared to what Microsoft had to offer when he left publishing giant EA. So ”why the heck would” he not want to work at MGS?
”…I just feel like MGS as a whole is like the best place where as a creative person you can really be supported by the people making the games,” reveals MGS General Manager Kudo Tsunoda.
”Out of everywhere, I felt like this was the best place… like, when you have an idea in your head, where’s the best place to be working where you can get all of the cool creative ideas into the final shipping product?”
He explains in his interview with Kikizo that Microsoft are more willing to take a risk and toy with new gameplay ideas and mechanics, not just rehash things that work from other titles and repurpose them.
”MGS is really nurturing and supportive of creative people, so it’s like, why the heck would I not want to come and work here?” Why indeed? Now hurry up Tsunoda and bring us Freelancer 2 already! Sheesh.
