Yesterday we reported that Resistance: Fall of Man 2 will contain up to 60 players online and up to eight players in the co-op mode. Now Three Speech have unleashed even more information on the multiplayer and singleplayer aspects of Insomniac Games upcoming FPS sequel.
Players should expect to see much more enemies on the screen at a time, along with improved AI. Co-op is available to eight players on the PlayStation Network, but it’ll also be available offline via split-screen with up to two players.
Then we’ve got information on the 60 player online battles, these are to feature squad vs squad combat modes in huge US battlefields, a class system has also been developed which will offer three basic specialists; these are Medic, Tank specialists and Special Ops.
They’ve also made it “noob friendly” by offering an online matchmaking system that detects your skill level and places you in a match with people of the same level, making it even and more enjoyable in the long run.
What about the singleplayer aspects? Well the re-playability has been touched up a notch due to a system that will generate levels differently at random making them slightly different each time you play. Two new bad asses have also been mentioned, the Chameleon and Stalker which have cloaking devices making it very difficult to detect them; probably the kind of aliens that you dread the most out of all the enemies you come across.
That’s all we’ve heard so far, but if we learn anything more then you can be sure to find out about it on Strategy Informer.
