Hollywood mega-cool-star Samuel L. Jackson is to voice the lead character ‘Afro’, as he has done in the anime series.
The game will be out on both Xbox360 and the PS3 this autumn from Namco Bandai. Afro wants to become the world’s number one fighter so unremitting violence and big hair can be gleefully expected.
The game has that cell-shaded ‘comic’ visual which given its anime roots is no surprise. Afro Samurai will feature combat on both ground, in the air and terrain related too. RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan will be providing hip-hop soundtracks for all major conflicts throughout the adventure.
For followers of Mr S L. Jackson’s video gaming career many would have noted his ‘appearance’ in Star Wars and the Incredibles, but his most lengthy role would have been as Officer Tenpenny in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
