Speaking at the GC in Leipzig, SCEE’s David Reeves has announced that the new SKU will be available in Europe from October and will retail around 449 Euros.
That’s 50 more than their current 80GB models on sale. The new larger sized PS3 will be missing expandable hard drive support; presumably they see 160 as enough.
All other specs of the PS3 unit will be exactly the same as its 80GB counterpart, shame they just don’t skip straight to a 500GB monster.
