Developer of Crackdown, Realtime Worlds, has been flashing their latest project bling which they happily boast will change the formula of the MMO. Slated for the PC, it’s like an online game of cops and robbers but everything is said to ooze excitement, and real flashy lights.
More akin to Counterstrike than traditional MMO’s like World of Warcraft, there’ll be no NPC grinding so it’s all player action as gangs battle the law for supremacy. LastFM will be streaming the music ingame, also there’s extensive customisation for both vehicles and the player to help make the experience as personal and vivid as possible.
The Realtime Worlds team managed to recreate some of the more known lead designers in the industry with a Peter Molyneux look-alike and a crazy realistic double of Shigeru Miyamoto. The lengths of customisation are ground-breaking if they hold until launch, which is unconfirmed at this time.
APB is set to be released on the PC, with no estimated release date yet.
Description:
APB brings players into a living, breathing city where cash is king and territory equals respect. In a fight to dominate the expansive world of APB, players must decide which side of the law to abide by, as Law Enforcement who take on the challenge of supporting and safeguarding justice, or as Gangs, who operate against the law and any opposing groups by any means necessary. APB will provide players with ultimate customization options from their weapons, vehicles and clothes to their attitude, music and environment.
APB (All Points Bulletin) is a complete free style game based on the real world. Players have to choose whether to be on the ‘Law Enforcement’ or the ‘Gang’. To be good or bad, it is your choice.
