Some RPGs really like to pride themselves at letting the player shape the world or at the very least the kingdom around them. Fallout 3 is no exception with a possible 200 different endings, Bethesda is keen to admit though that some variations will be minimal.
Still it’s a technical 200 endings; other features have apparently exploded in scope too.
Todd Howard the executive producer at Bethesda recently spilled radioactive beans on Fallout 3. The game is said to be twice as large than originally planned, three max party including yourself, a fellow humanoid and a NPC like ‘DogMeat’. The said NPC can die but the health systems getting a check-up, main quests will steal away 20 hours with all quests ready to bank heist 100 hours of life!
The game is still slated for a late 2008 release and Howard said the game is in its testing phase having been finished development wise. They’ll be staying true to the visual aesthetics of the Fallout universe too, not wanting to betray the feel of post-apocalypse Earth. How sweet.
Fallout 3 is due for release on the Xbox360, PS3 and the PC.
