The Homeworld IP has had a little adventure itself and finally came home to Relic when publisher THQ acquired it from Vivendi last year.
All Relic will say on a possible third title in the space faring RTS property is they’ll ”see what happens in the future,” and more teasingly that there’s ”always that chance.”
”We’re really happy the IP has made its way home, and yeah, we’re definitely looking at it. We’ll see what happens in the future,” said Jonny Ebbert, Dawn of War II lead designer.
Eurogamer spoke to Company of Heroes designer Chris Degnan and attempting some devious trickery they asked how Homeworld 3 was looking, to which he replied: ”As it always has - behind closed doors. Blacked off. Homeworld 3, obviously, I’m not at liberty to tell you anything about. So, good try!”
They should have tried some Jack Bauer ‘questioning methods’. According to what math you use, ”old math or the new math,” Relic has ”three of four” titles in the works revealed General manager Tarrnie Williams. That sounds like terrorist chatter to me, send in CTU’s finest!
