Funcom are currently developing a new MMO title for the PC and Xbox 360. Its been sometime since we last heard anything about this game, some people believed that it may have been canceled, but we now have new information thanks to the PC Zone magazine.
The developer told PC Zone that the Japanese Horror film, The Ring is a major inspiration to the game.
Erling Ellingson, manager of Funcom told PC Zone: “The setting for The Secret World is actually our own world… But there is something out there, another world beyond our own”.
“In this world there are monsters and there are some very, very dark conspiracies. There are also many myths and legends from our own world, that may play a part in all of this”.
Players will find them selves roaming around the streets of London and New York, whilst staying in the present day and traveling through time to battle beasts and other arch enemies.
