Since you’re all skipping work today to play the most highly acclaimed game to date, those of you who have the 60GB PS3 (remember those?) may have had a snag in playing, namely random freezes. And, because today is unofficially GTA4 day, where 99% of all gaming news has to do with the game, we’re here to offer our support (since some of us don’t have a copy yet).
Speculation is that the cause of the problem is the hard drive on a few PS3’s of this model, though we’ve heard reports of different tidings. We recommend not calling Rockstar, since if you are experiencing problems, you aren’t the only one and are probably just hogging up much needed manpower to fix the issue.
You’re options are simple: erase your game data and reinstall it, or wait somewhere between 5-24 hours for a patch to come out. It’s doubtful that Rockstar would seriously wait for longer than that to get a patch out, though we’re sure Microsoft is throwing a huge party knowing that its version isn’t broken already. Then again, I already know two guy’s who have had their 360’s RROD on them on the first try through GTA4. Ouch.
