Developer CD Projekt RED is ecstatic to announce that all their hard work has sold over a million copies, which means they’re just as happy to proclaim PC gaming is still alive.
They say they’ve spent over $11 million developing the The Witcher, including the Enhanced Edition and ”it sure is nice to make some of that money back!” Go White Wolf! Go PC!
”The success of The Witcher has ensured that we’ll be able to make the games we want – and the games that fans want – for the foreseeable future, and the amazing response we had from the gaming community to the Enhanced Edition really reinforced that we’re on the right track with our development philosophy,” said Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt RED.
”We really couldn’t have achieved this sort of success without the support of our amazing fans.”
The Witcher had truly come as something of a surprise to the PC RPG community, as this first time developer strived and managed to deliver an incredibly engrossing videogame.
