Gearbox would ”love to do a demo,” says studio writer Mikey Neumann, and they talk about it ”every day” but it might never happen - they just don’t know yet.
There’s ”a lot of factors” keeping them on the game and off a demo right now, they can’t predict how time’s ”going to work out” on the project, but they’re ”doing really well” though.
”We talk about a demo every day. We would love to do a demo,” Gearbox’s Neumann told Shacknews. ”There’s obviously factors there. If and when we do one, I don’t know if it’d be pre-launch or post-launch, because …there’s a lot of factors there.”
”We would love to promise a demo, we can’t quite yet, we just want to get the game done. That’s always the hardest thing for developers to do–you never quite know how the time’s going to work out. We’re doing really well, but I can’t promise it,” he continued.
Borderlands is being released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It was kept silent at Gearbox for a long time until it was recently shown to have adopted a whole new art style direction.
