Publisher Focus Home Interactive hopes to see a repeat to Blood Bowl’s ”excellent sales” in France, Germany and Spain when it arrives in the UK this September.
Sales figures in mainland Europe have lain ”doubts firmly to rest,” Blood Bowl is a winner. The game mixes Warhammer’s penchant for violence and American football; it’s love.
Blood Bowl hit retail stores last week in France where it secured fourth place in their all formats chart, and muscled its way into the Top Five of Germany’s PC chart. ”I think it’s fair to say that, even with the popular Games Workshop license behind it, there were some people who felt that Blood Bowl may struggle in the current climate,” said Focus Home’s COO Cédric Lagarrigue.
”The excellent sales that have been achieved in France, Germany and Spain speak for themselves and have laid those doubts firmly to rest. Blood Bowl is now all set to repeat that success in the UK, its spiritual birthplace.”
Blood Bowl is being released on Xbox 360, PSP, DS and PC this September in the UK.
