In the suit, TimeGate revealed that both companies had meetings regarding “potential business ventures” regarding a Section 8 game. After a couple of meetings and showcase demos TimeGate received a voice mail from Paramount stating that a meeting for later that day was cancelled, and after that all communication ceased.
Three days after that cancelled meeting, Paramount announced via a press release that it had partnered with a foreign entity for its latest project—Section 8. This Section 8 is set to be an interactive web series in which the audience engages specific characters and participates in plot development.
TimeGate alleges that ”essentially, Paramount’s Section 8 is nothing more than an interactive game.”
