Rogue Squadron developer Factor 5 is no more, but they’re quick to point out their German counterparts are a separate entity.
It seems Brash Entertainment’s demise is still being felt by some, the San Rafael-based studio just couldn’t overcome their ”sudden bankruptcy” in the ”current economic climate.”
A multi-game agreement with Brash was great, right up until they went bust and left Factor 5 in the lurch with not very much to continue with, and so because of this, ”the continuation of operations have turned out too great to overcome in the current economic climate,” said CEO Achim Moller, on the official Factor 5 website.
The US based Factor 5 were behind the Star Wars Rogue Squadron series of games, and developed Lair for PS3. Factor 5 GmbH has its HQ in Cologne, Germany and will be unveiling upcoming projects over the next few months.
