Last November, Hollywood production company Red Eagle Entertainment grabbed the rights to adapt the fantasy novel series Wheel Of Time by the late Robert Jordan into movies and videogames.
Ea have now announced that they have partnered with Red Eagle to distribute the Wheel Of Time games via its EA Partners program.
Red Eagle will also be working with Universal Pictures in releasing a movie based on the Wheel Of Time novels and there will be tie-in games as part of the package.
A Wheel Of Time MMO is also in the offing, although no developers have yet been announced for either the movie tie-in or the MMO.
Wheel Of Time is a series of novels made up of eleven instalments, so there’ll be no shortage of material for all manner of film and game related adaptations for a good few years. Expect to see a lot more of this in the near future.
