The movie and TV streaming service has enjoyed a boom among US Xbox 360 gamers, with over one million Gold Live members gobbling up minutes.
In fact they’ve devoured over ”1.5 billion minutes” of streamed movie and TV through Xbox Live. Netflix doesn’t hide it’s ambition ”to grow the service,” but for now it’ll stay exclusive.
”Netflix is always looking for ways to grow the service. For now, Netflix streaming on game consoles is exclusively on the Xbox 360 - and it’s a terrific hit,” said a Netflix spokesperson.
”More than one million Netflix members who are Xbox Gold members have watched more than 1.5 billion minutes of movies and TV episodes instantly over the internet from Netflix via their Xbox 360.”
But one thing remains constant throughout, even if they decide to branch to other platforms like the PS3 or Wii: ”Netflix is available in the U.S. only.”
