Recently the publishing giant has been feeling nostalgic and has had some bigwigs talking about classic IP revival, from the once prominent Bullfrog Productions.
Already Wing Commander, Road Rash, Theme Park and Populous have got their new shiny trademarkings. Now EA have filed two new ones for Dungeon Keeper. A sequel approaches?
”Electronic Arts filed a trademark registration for Dungeon Keeper. Two, actually,” reports superannuation.
Dungeon Keeper is in fact already revived, just not in a way fans want it to be. EA announced a while back that there’s an MMO of all things coming to the franchise, but it’s being developed and released in Asia by NetDragon and may never see a Western audience.
Hopefully EA executives have come to their sense and will bring us some more of the minion management we love. ”Your gold reserves are running low” EA, quick, announce a sequel!
