UK online retailer Play.com has listed Max Payne 3 as coming to Europe on October 30th, and even affirmed they were told so by ”the developers of the game.”
Rockstar Games meanwhile, the publisher, has reiterated they haven’t issued a release date apart from its coming this winter. Max Payne 3 is coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
”Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding the release date of Max Payne 3,” Play.com responded to Live PlayStation’s inquiry regarding the October 30th date.
”Please be advised that the release date for this item, currently scheduled for 30/10/09, has been given to us by the developers of the game.”
Rockstar Games has since dispelled this supposedly ‘official’ date for release in Europe, and pointed out that they as the publisher of Max Payne 3 haven’t signalled anything other than ‘winter’.
